JESUS MENTIONS THE RAPTURE
Scriptures where Jesus promises to us that the Rapture will happen.
The RAPTURE is not for nothing called THE BLESSED HOPE in Titus 2:13 “looking for the BLESSED HOPE and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,”. It is the most wonderful moment when Jesus calls His CHURCH to meet Him in the air. You can read more about the RAPTURE on our page THE RAPTURE.
This will be one of the most beautiful moments for the CHURCH as we, the CHURCH will be the complete BRIDE OF CHRIST meeting the BRIDEGROOM in the air to take us to the FATHER’S HOUSE. This is NOT the Second Coming of Jesus Christ as He comes to destroy the armies of the Antichrist and throw the False Prophet and the Antichrist alive into the Lake of Fire. No this is a BLESSED EVENT, the BLESSED HOPE, the RAPTURE where the BRIDEGROOM meets His BRIDE (not part Bride but the COMPLETE BRIDE) after the LAST person, chosen in Jesus before the foundation of this world, has trusted in Jesus as Lord and Saviour, completing the number of people that were chosen in Jesus BEFORE the foundation of this world, that completed number being the CHURCH, the BRIDE OF CHRIST, the BODY OF CHRIST. Ephesians 1:4 “just as He CHOSE US in Him BEFORE the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him”..
One our favourite group of verses where Jesus mentions the RAPTURE is John 14:1-3 “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME AGAIN AND RECEIVE YOU UNTO MYSELF, that where I am, there you may be also.”
This corresponds with the promise revealed as Mystery to Paul which he gives us in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the LORD HIMSELF WILL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then WE WHO ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN WILL BE CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.”
The “I WILL COME AGAIN AND RECEIVE YOU UNTO MYSELF” of John 14 corresponds with the “LORD HIMSELF WILL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN” and “WE WHO ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN WILL BE CAUGHT UP” of 1 Thessalonians 4
Another part of Scripture where WE BELIEVE the Lord Jesus refers to the RAPTURE is where Martha comes to Jesus at the death of her brother Lazarus in John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who BELIEVES IN ME will LIVE even if he DIES, and everyone who LIVES AND BELIEVES in Me WILL NEVER DIE. Do you believe this?”
Carefully look at the verse above.
The following is what WE believe that although Jesus is not directly referring to the RAPTURE (as it is Paul who will reveal the MYSTERY of the RAPTURE) we CAN see that Jesus indirectly refers to the RAPTURE.
“He who BELIEVES IN ME (spiritual) will LIVE (spiritual) even if he DIES (physical), and everyone who LIVES (physical) AND BELIEVES (spiritual) in Me WILL NEVER DIE (physical).”
The part in the blue can be seen as referring to : “and the dead in Christ will rise first” and the part in pink can be seen as referring to “Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds….” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
