HOW OLD ARE WE IN ETERNITY?

WILL THERE BE ELDERLY PEOPLE AND BABIES IN HEAVEN?

We have often be asked about what age we will be when we go to Heaven. Will elderly people still be old and will young children still be young?

Does the Bible tell us what age we will be like when we die and go the Heaven? The answer to this is a definite no, but that won’t stop us from looking at what information we can glean from the Scriptures without being too dogmatic about it.

Just let us look at some facts we can glean from the Scriptures.

When God created Adam and Eve He created them not as children but as mature man and woman, most likely the way a man looks like at an age of about THIRTY.

Jesus started His ministry at the age of THIRTY. Luke 3:23 “When He began His ministry, Jesus Himself was about THIRTY years of age, being, as was supposed, the son of Joseph, the son of Eli,”

John the Baptist started his ministry when he was about THIRTY, as we know that he was about 6 months older than Jesus and had started his ministry a few months before he baptised Jesus, Who was THIRTY years old when He started His ministry.

The Levites didn’t start their ministries until they were THIRTY. 1 Chronicles 23:3 “The Levites were numbered from THIRTY years old and upward, and their number by census of men was 38,000.” and Numbers 4:3 “from THIRTY years and upward, even to fifty years old, all who enter the service to do the work in the tent of meeting.”

The following conclusion is OUR OWN conclusion and you can have YOUR OWN conclusion.

We believe that our bodies look like what we look like at about the age of THIRTY years. That is all we are saying about this age.

We don’t think there will be old people walking around with walking frames or children being pushed around in prams. Our bodies will be PERFECT eternal bodies that will not change as there will be NO MORE TIME.

That is why we believe that the moment a baby dies and goes to be with the Lord, awaiting to receive its  resurrected perfect body, its soulish body will be mature. If the child’s soulish body was also child like, it would never mature as there is no time in eternity.

The same when an elderly person dies, his/her soulish body will also be a mature body (looking like a thirty year old), awaiting the Rapture when we will receive our perfect resurrected eternal body.

You can read on our TOPICS page “Death – What happens?” what happens the moment a person (young or old) dies.

How the body goes into the grave and undergoes decay and the spirit and soul go to be with the Lord in Paradise, awaiting the Rapture. We will be at rest with the Lord but conscious and able to communicate with all the Saints that are there. Isn’t that a beautiful thought to look forward too? But you will ONLY go there if you are BORN AGAIN. Read our TOPIC page “BORN AGAIN
