This is one of the most beautiful and assuring TRUTHS in the Bible for Born Again Christians.
It also is one of the Truths that the Holy Spirit convinced me off right from the beginning of my new Christian life. This Truth has helped me through many difficult phases of life over and over again. We pray that it will also help many of you who will read this topic.
Let us first look at a very sobering Truth very relevant to UNBELIEVERS. The bible clearly teaches that NO unbeliever seeks after God. Now when we speak here of God, we are talking about the only true God as revealed to mankind firstly through His creation, secondly through our conscience (the human mind and heart) which bears witness to the existence of God, thirdly through His Word and fourthly through His Word taking on human form of His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Many unbelievers seek after false gods made of wood, stone or metal, copying things created, including the sun, moon and stars.
THERE ARE NO EXCUSES
GOD GIVES ALL A WAY
THAT WAY IS JESUS CHRIST
Because of Adam’s fall when he committed the first human sin through his disobedience to God in the Garden of Eden, ALL mankind is tarnished and is under the curse of sin. God created the Lake of Fire as the final destination of Satan and his fallen angels. Unfortunately ALL unbelievers, because they are NOT born again, will ALSO have the Lake of Fire as their final destination. This is a horrible Truth for anyone to comprehend but nevertheless is real.
However our God is a LOVING God and in His predetermined plan in eternity, before anything was created, He provided a WAY for unbelievers to come back into communion with Him. That WAY is Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
John 14:6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the WAY, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
Here ALL people have the opportunity to avoid ending up in the Lake of Fire by REPENTING of their sins and BELIEVE that Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified (victory over sin), was buried and rose again (victory over death) on the third day and TRUST in Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Yes, if you do this, that means you are BORN AGAIN of God and have eternal life and your eternal destination will be with God and all His Angels and Saints. Don’t miss out! NOW is the time of salvation. DON’T PUT IT OFF.
Romans 1:20 “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.”Psalm 19:1 “The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.”
This brings us back to Romans 3:11 “THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD;”
All unbelievers are on the way to their final destiny, THE LAKE OF FIRE. It is a horrible place of eternal darkness, suffering and separation from God.
Now Romans 3:11 above gives us some very sombre facts. Because NONE understands nor seeks after God, all human are lost and on their way to the Lake of Fire which is prepared for Satan and his fallen angels. All unbelievers will go their too because they are under the curse of sin. Many scoffers say “How can a loving God send people to such a horrible place?”
But WAIT! These scoffers are so very wrong, because they are blinded by Satan.
Hear Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is VEILED to those WHO ARE PERISHING, in whose case the god of this world has BLINDED THE MINDS OF UNBELIEVERS so that they might NOT see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” That is why they are scoffers, because they are in darkness and CAN NOT see the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord and SAVIOUR.
But wait again! God is a very loving God Who loves with a perfect love and because of this love He predetermined in eternity, before anything was created, a perfect loving plan of salvation.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
Some will cry out “I don’t believe in all this about the Bible”. That is YOUR CHOICE. DON’T BLAME GOD.
You will soon find out when you reach your destination in the Lake of Fire you made the wrong choice.
Like we said before. God reveals Himself through His creation, His Word, His only begotten Son the Lord Jesus Christ and through our conscience. So don’t ever say, I never new about God. Just be still for a moment when you are in nature and know that He is God.
We also know from Romans 3:11 that “there is none who seeks for God”. That is very sad as this means that, despite what all is written in the paragraph above, none seeks for God. Read this carefully…NONE. Again, according to the above verse, that means that ALL born after Adam and Eve, are on their way to the LAKE OF FIRE. No exception.
However, this is NOT the case! Why? Because God, in His Sovereign Will, CHOSE a number of people to be SAVED.
Some will scream out “Are you saying that God chose some to be saved and some to go to the Lake of Fire?”
NO, God did NOT choose some to go to the Lake of Fire because, according to Romans 3:11 ALL PEOPLE are already ON THEIR WAY to the Lake of Fire because of the inherited sinful nature of Adam.
Romans 9:22-23 “What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath PREPARED for destruction? And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which HE PREPARED BEFOREHAND for glory,”
Let’s look at these two verses. Verse 22 talks of vessels PREPARED for destruction. Prepare here is in the passive form meaning that because of the inherited sinful nature ALL MEN are on their way of destruction, the Lake of Fire. God didn’t choose them to be on that way, Adam’s sin did. Now looking at verse 23, these vessels of mercy are prepared BY GOD for glory. The word prepare here is active. He chose these vessels of mercy (from the Jews as well as from the Gentiles) and IS CALLING THEM OUT ONE BY ONE in His appointed time. It is very simple. All men are on their way to destruction but God, in His sovereign ordination, chose some for mercy and eternal life in Jesus.
Ephesians 1:4 "just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him."
How do I know if I am chosen you will ask. I might as well carry on sinning as I may not been chosen. DON’T even think like that. Nobody knows whether or not they are chosen. Here is a nice example!
YOU HAVE TO MAKE A CHOICE!
NOW is the time to make an IMPORTANT choice. Not tomorrow but NOW!
At this very moment of your life, while you are reading this, you have reached a very important moment in your life. This is the moment YOU CAN make a decision that decides where you will go the moment you die. The LAKE OF FIRE or HEAVEN to be for eternity with God in wonderful loving bliss.
Looking at the picture above, this very moment you are reading this, you have reached a CROSSROAD in your life. There are two ways to choose from. At the left is the WIDE way many people have chosen and which leads to the LAKE OF FIRE. The WAY at the right is narrow, which few have chosen and which leads to HEAVEN.
We have put WAY in capital and thick letters to remind you that in John 14:6 Jesus said ““I am the WAY, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. Jesus is the only WAY to Heaven.
You make the choice which way you will go! Let say you have decided to take the narrow way which leads to Heaven. In your heart you know this is the right way (REMEMBER WHAT WE JUST WROTE) because something is telling you so.
Remember YOU made the decision to take the narrow way.
So you walk through that gate and after you have take a few steps on the narrow way you turn around and look up to the gate. On the gate you read with big letters:
YOU ARE CHOSEN
Get the picture? You make the choice but when inside you realise you are chosen in Jesus BEFORE the foundation of this world were laid.
We are often asked “What about our loved ones that have died?”
All we can say is this. We DON’T know whom God has chosen. So you have to leave it with God as you will never know if there was a moment in their lives where they may have sincerely believed the Gospel but never told you.
We also believe that ALL children that haven’t reached the age of accountability will go to Heaven. What that age is, only God knows. That is why it is so important for parents to teach their children about the Good News of Jesus.
As the Scripture says: Romans 10:14 “How then will they CALL on Him in whom they have not BELIEVED? How will they BELIEVE in Him whom they have not HEARD? And how will they HEAR without a PREACHER?”
John 17:24 “Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.”
God has chosen some from the Jews and some from the Gentiles. Romans 9:24 “even us, whom He also called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles.” This is the beautiful TRUTH of God choosing some and then CALLING them. But this calling is not the general call of the Gospel that goes out to all the world, but the spiritual call to the heart where, by the GRACE of God, the Holy Spirit has enabled us to belief, turned on the switch of the Light inside us, so that we can understand and accept the TRUTH. Remember Jesus is the LIGHT (John 1:4) and the TRUTH (John 14:6). We, because of our inherited sinful nature, can NOT respond, but because of God’s AMAZING GRACE and the ENLIGHTENING power of the Holy Spirit, we are able to respond to that spiritual call and accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. It is NOT of our own doing but purely by God’s AMAZING GRACE.
Ephesians 2:8 For BY GRACE you have been saved THROUGH FAITH; and that NOT of yourselves, it is THE GIFT of God;
In His AMAZING GRACE and by His own will, and for His OWN PLEASURE, and for His OWN GLORY, God has chosen some IN JESUS and BEFORE the foundation of this world were laid, to spend ETERNITY WITH HIM.
Acts 13:48 “When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and AS MANY AS HAD BEEN APPOINTED TO ETERNAL LIFE believed.” They believed at their APPOINTED TIME.
BLESSED BE THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.
Yes there are some who have said: “If some are chosen and others are not, I might as well just live my life and if I am chosen i will go to Heaven and if not, to the Lake of Fire. I can’t do anything about it.”
That is completely the wrong attitude. You have to make a decision. You have to make a response to God’s call. When that calls comes you either decide to ignore the call or to respond positively to the call by believing the Gospel of Jesus and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour, confessing and repenting of your sins.
Paul says in Romans 8:29-30 “For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also CALLED;”
Again we have to make distinction between the GENERAL CALL and the CALL of the chosen ones.
The general call comes to the whole world through creation, the Word of God, the life of Jesus Christ and the conscience. The call of the chosen ones only comes through creation, the Word of God, the life of Jesus Christ and the conscience to the people that were chosen in Jesus before the foundation of this world and they can only respond positively to this call because the Holy Spirit enables them to believe.
Matthew 22:14 “For many are CALLED, but few are CHOSEN.”
When I MADE MY DECISION to trust in Jesus as my Lord and Saviour I was glad I MADE THAT DECISION. After studying His Word carefully I soon realised I MADE THAT DECISION because the Holy Spirit ENABLED me to believe. After hearing the preacher teach me the true Gospel of Salvation I went home and read the Bible and when I saw it was all there the Holy Spirit CALLED (enabled me to believe) me by opening my heart and spirit and sealing (baptising me) into the Body of Christ, the Church, the Bride of Jesus. I KNEW THEN THAT I WAS CHOSEN IN JESUS BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THIS WORLD. I also realised that God CALLED me at His APPOINTED TIME. I discovered that I could not have died until the moment of my conversion to Jesus because I was chosen in Him and predestined to make that decision to trust in Jesus at the APPOINTED TIME.
Praise the Lord as that was THE BEST thing that ever happened to me.

Don’t be blinded by false teachers or so called experts who are doing the dirty work for Satan.
Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world HAS BLINDED THE MINDS OF THE UNBELIEVING so that they might not see the LIGHT of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
But you DON’T NEED TO BE BLIND to the TRUTH.
Again we go to the Gospel of John and read:”In Him was LIFE, and the LIFE was the LIGHT of men.”
2 Corinthians 4:6 “For God, who said, “LIGHT shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the LIGHT of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.”
You DON’T NEED TO BE in darkness.
Isaiah 55:6-7 “Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will HAVE COMPASSION on him, And to our God, For He will ABUNDANTLY PARDON.”
Let God’s Light, the Lord Jesus Christ, shine into your heart.
As you have been reading the Scriptures on these pages you must see that our loving Heavenly Father, the Almighty Eternal God, is patiently waiting for you to turn to Him through His beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, confess you are a sinner wanting to come back to Him, repent of your sins and invite Jesus into your heart to be your Lord and Saviour. Once you have sincerely done this, the Holy Spirit seals you into the Body of Christ, the Church, and makes His residence in your heart and our Heavenly Father will take your hand into His hand and will NEVER LET YOU GO.

John 10:29 “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and NO ONE is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.“
Jesus says the same in John10:27-28 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and NO ONE will snatch them out of My hand.”
NO ONE can snatch you out of the hand of the Father nor out of the hand of Jesus. THEY ARE ONE. John 10:30 “I and the Father ARE ONE.”
